Digital Art
I always loved the freedom and range of possibilities of what you can do when you draw. At a young age I drew doodles and short comics with characters from video games. During my gap year I have worked on my sketching and digital drawing skills, using software like Photoshop and Blender. I intend to continue to learn new skills and improve my drawing capabilities.
Here I sketched a Tim Burton inspired drawing using his style to create characters from video games and films

Hard skills: Photoshop, Blender, sketching
Soft skills: Ideation, divergent thinking

This drawing is inspired by the Hotline Miami’s series cover art, with their retro themed backgrounds and the bold use of primary colours. In my drawing each character has a unique characteristic feature purposely reminiscent from different childhood memories I’ve had. Cartoony eyes popping out of the head, the yellow character resembling a Lego, and the Hockey mask from the Friday the 13th films.

3D modelling using Blender

I have experimented with different perspectives (foreshortening).

'Eggsaster' - a digital drawing I did as a possible game cover.

After watching Blade Runner and playing Cyberpunk I wanted to create a futuristic humanoid concept art.
I created a table to organise my thoughts and ‘think on paper’ on what it should look like:
Adjectives: Features: Doodles:
Futuristic Oily fluids dripping
from one eye
Humanoid Female
Dissident weapon with
(carrying a unique steel
weapon)
Mysterious White multi-
coloured hair
shoulder length.
Different eye colours
(green, black)

After completing my digital drawing I was curious to see what the AI Image Generator would come up with when putting the adjectives into it.
From my own portrait with the influence of the AI I created two concept arts with different traits.
A magical queen in a white robe and a female gunfighter in an apocalyptic world:
My aim is to continue to learn and explore different art styles and expand my creative ideas for illustrations and character art.
